Why is the salvation army Christian? The salvation army's ways are based on the love of god. The salvation army has many quotes, that are Christian based. This means that the quotes stand for love and peace. There messages are based on the bible. We value the people in need and hope to give them a safe and happy home. We believe all of these actions are valued by god and that's what is keeping us going. Our community does not say that you have to be christian! We just encourage you to respect our culture.

Purpose - what do we do to help, The salvation army helps in many ways, For a start, we donate food and old clothes that you or someone else in the community doesn't want, to people in need. Anything will do as long as it is in good condition, meaning its not falling apart, and that it seems in good use. Something that you think they would need. You can simply donate these things by giving them into school or organisations. When I mean school, I mean that usually schools will hold events and would much appreciate it if you drop a piece of clothing into the Clothing box, then this would be distributed into our factory's were were would give them out to the people in need. We don't just give out old clothes, you can donate online, at our websites. The money will go to the community and help family's that need money for their bills, food and to put a roof over there head. By donating you would give a family a chance at a healthy life.
